Abel Mambote was raised in Johannesburg, South Africa by a family that did not necessarily harbour a deep love of dance and creative expression but at the age of 8 years old, a fire was sparked in him and he began learning to dance off of music videos and then put himself into training under various mentors.

 

He has worked for esteemed performers such as Tyla, Akon, Nasty C, FOCALISTIC, Priddy Ugly, the late but great Costa Titch, Musa Keys and many more. On television, Abel has done work for multiple powerhouses such as Netflix, Spotify, IDOLS SA, the South African Music Awards, Sportscene, Adidas and more.

As a choreographer/instructor with an overwhelming passion for dance as an athletic artform, Abel has been refining both his unique choreographic voice and instruction techniques that speak compellingly to expert and beginning level students alike.
